Your skin is precious, therefore you should be aware of what you wear closest to your body. 

I carefully choose all my materials so that they will feel comfortable against your skin and at the same time you can feel confident in knowing that the materials are of best quality so that the pieces can be loved and valued for years.


 Lace

The lace used in the collection is a Leavers lace made in the district of Calais in France.

The label Dentelle de Calais-Caudry® is a guarantee of the excellence of a product made in France, respecting the traditional skills on which it has founded its reputation. It guarantees that this rare and precious fabric is made on Leavers looms, according to an original and unique method of thread intertwining derived from a 200-year-old tradition.

The material is Oeko-Tex 100 certified, meaning that it’s guaranteed to contain no harmful chemicals or toxins. This makes it perfect for those with sensitive skin. 

 


Silk

Silk is a natural protein fiber produced by the silkworm in the construction of its cocoon.

The material is regarded as one of the most expensive fabrics in the world, because of its intricate making. Because of its thermoregulatory quality it also have the ability to keep you cool in the summer and warm in winter. 

The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fibre, which allows garments made of silk to refract incoming light at different angles, thus producing different colors making the material so unique and beautiful to wear.

All kimonos in the collection are made of 100% Crepe de chine silk and with its many wonderful characteristics I find it to be the perfect material for my kimonos.


Digital printing

All prints is made using digital textile print technique. A more environmentally aware process compared to many of the other traditional printing and dyeing methods. It’s reputation as the eco-friendlier of the printing processes is predominantly measured through the reduced amount of waste inevitably produced.
